Social Initiatives
The Brazil Real Estate Partners are very keen to promote just causes and social projects throughout the country and actively encourage our members to donate and invest. Please take the time to see the projects we are supporting below and ensure that you are subscribed to our newsletters to keep informed of our progress.
We are also building close ties with Brazilian microfinance projects in need of funding; an increasingly popular alternative to donating as it enables investors to earn a return (which is usually re-invested in similar projects). Microfinance Initiatives
The concept of microfinance can be broadly defined as the provision of financial assistance services to lower income groups and was originally established in Bangladesh by social entrepreneur Mohammed Yunus. The main difference between microfinance and charitable donations is that money effectively operates as no or low interest loans for business owners as a mean of empowering them to develop their own entrepreneurial skills and personal development.
Microfinance in Brazil is becoming increasingly popular as a means for people to pull themselves out of poverty and is complementing government sponsored initiatives such as 'Minha Casa, Minha Vida', 'Bolsa Família' and 'Zero Fome'. Please click on the link below to read our free guide on the industry as a whole where we focus on its history, criticisms, flaws and future projections:
