Rio de Janeiro will Receive R$ 36.3 Billion in Investment Until 2013
The Federation of Industries in the State of Rio de Janeiro (FIRJAN) recently announced that over R$ 36.3 billion of private and public investment will be focused on improving Rio de Janeiro’s infrastructural systems.
The main focus on the investments will be made around the preparations for the World Cup 2014 and Olympic Games 2016 including hotel development, transport, roads and the preparation of the various stadiums as well as the ongoing development of the fast train linking Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo and the development of more office space.
