A recent partnership was announced between Spanish bank Santander and one of the fastest growing real estate sales franchises in the Brazil – Century 21 – which will enable house buyers to access direct finance without the need to go to the bank.

The programme entitled ‘Creditmob-21’ will enable any customer purchasing a property through the Century-21 estate agency in Brazil to finance their property at rates similar to what are being offered in the general market place.

Santander has been well established in the country since 1982 and – with total assets valuing at R$ 218.5 billion – the Brazilian market accounts for 25 percent of the total profit of the group.  In 2 years, Century 21 has signed 64 franchise contracts in over 15 states as well as in the Federal District.  The company have also stated its intention to have over 1,000 branches across the country in the next 10 years and accumulate earnings of R$ 5 billion as well as announcing that it has increased its real estate operation by 30.7 percent in the first nine months of 2010.

‘Creditmob-21’ will benefit from the experience of both companies and will utilise a specialised team of consultants complemented by integrated systems to enable smooth transactional processes.  Franchise owners will also be able to utilise the ‘Web Casas’ portal for advertising purposes – a site that owned by Grupo Santander and one the fastest growing property search engines in Brazil.
